I understand that since updating to i OS 11.2.5 you're having trouble with your battery draining faster than normal.I know how important it is for your device to stay charged properly, I'd like to help.I spent 3 hours yesterday straight watching netflix on my i Phone 5 and the battery depleted at a normal rate to what I've noticed these last 3 years (I'd say 75%).My i Phone 5 has significantly better battery retention then my i Phone 6s.
Shouldn't we be using and turning on functions that we want to use (location/background app refresh/etc) and still be able to experience the battery usage/consumption span that is realistically acceptable?First I'd recommend reviewing the information here regarding Adjust settings to improve battery life While viewing your battery usage, you might get a suggestion like Enable Auto-Brightness or Adjust Display Brightness. This is because i OS determined that changing these settings could improve your battery life.I have an i Phone 6s, but the exact same issue is occurring.I've had this phone for almost 3 years, and the battery was AWESOME, and then specifically when upgrading to 11.2.5, the battery retention is horrible. You can also see the usage times since the last full charge.Learn more about maximizing the battery performance and lifespan of your i OS device.I did the the suggested delete the OOBE contents and reboot. Now I feel like I'll be on the phone every time there's a CC update. I updated to IOS 11.2.5 a couple of days ago and the battery drain is immense. All settings have remained unchanged so it’s not them.My i Phone 7 device is 13 months old and that issue came over night.Very annoying Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities.
